Having dedicated himself to the art of sushi for over 20 years, it is time for Chef Keisuke Ohno to share his personal expression of what it means to be a sushi shokunin (artisan) with the world. Raised in one of Japan’s bustling ports in Miyagi prefecture by a fisherman father, Chef developed an early appreciation for all the sea has to offer. His calling took him to Tokyo, where he worked and studied traditional edomae sushi in some of the most prestigious sushi restaurants in Ginza. After moving to Singapore in 2012, Chef Ohno continued to hone his craft, endlessly pursuing edomae-style perfection. Opening Sushi Oono is the result of decades of work in award-winning restaurants – Chef will instil culinary excellence into each dish for a wave of decadent pleasure in each taste.
Miyu is derived from the word kindness (実) and citrus fruit (柚). Miyu also signifies our sincerity in serving our guests.
