The name ‘Loca Niru’ is derived from two Zen idioms. ‘Hakuba Roka ni Iru’ speaks of a white horse stepping into a field of white reeds, blending seamlessly – representing a perfect balance and coexistence in a beautiful space at that moment. ‘Hakucho Roka ni Iru’ references a white swan which descends into a field of white reeds, awakening the sleeping reeds with its feathers before it flies gracefully away, leaving a beautiful sight of swaying reeds – this expresses the beauty of correlation even if it may seem small. Just as both idioms capture the spirit of harmony, Loca Niru is the embodiment of the serene, quiet values that inspired its name.
