Hillman Restaurant was founded in 1963 by our founder, Mr. Wong Ling Onn and co-founder Madam Chan Ah Chee at the first floor of Block 1, Cantonment Road, Singapore.Located at one of the earliest Housing Development Board (HDB) projects in Singapore, the restaurant was popular with the office crowd from Port of Singapore Authority (PSA), Shenton Way and staff (e.g. doctors & nurses) from Singapore General Hospital (SGH). The building has been replaced by The Pinnacle@Duxton, the first Sky-Garden HDB project in Singapore, and our restaurant has since moved to 135 Kitchener Road (in 2003); operating in a conservation shophouse with a seating capacity of about 130 persons (first and second floors).
